Okay, so it’s almost halfway through June but you know… It’s not so much blogger burnout this time. Just that things have been busy. I’ve gotten more involved in the fashion/beauty blogging networks and that means a fair amount of events, not to mention building relationships with the people I’ve met. It’s not a chore by any means but I have a little less time to blog – not to mention my last class was a lot more work than any I’ve had so far, which took more time away from blogging.
College is time-intensive, dude.
Goal 1: Lose 30 pounds.
Yeah, no. I haven’t been back to the gym and we gave up on the CSA, especially after we took a trip to Trader Joe’s and discovered we were paying double for the CSA organic stuff. I guess simply because they were delivered. Since we go to Trader Joe’s for lunchstuff anyway, picking up some fruit isn’t much more effort. Now I’m focusing on portion control and not bingeing on chocolates. (But they’re so yummy.)
Goal 2: Learn something new.
My new class is Ethics and Social Responsibility. The first chapter has stuff about logic and deductive arguments and various ethical theories. All this is brand new to me, so I am learning lots of new things. At some point, I may write a blog about psychological egoism because it’s such a quandary. Does anyone ever do something without an ulterior motive?
Goal 3: Blog at least once a week, with the end goal of daily posts.
Hmmm. No. May has been more blogging once or twice a month. However, I’ve decided on the fate of Stuff About Cats. I’m just going to post whatever I want that’s cat-related, all willy nilly. Sometimes I just want to post a cute cat picture! And squee! And now I shall without feeling guilty about it. (Well, I probably will still feel a bit guilty but I’m not going to let it hold me back.)
Goal 4: Have an ongoing emergency fund of at least $1,000 by the end of the year.
I put away double the monthly amount in May! Very exciting. I’m not sure if I can do the same for June but I’m sure trying to.
It’s a work in progress.
