My weekly update post is late this week – I’m on vacation! I wrote it over the weekend but didn’t add a photo and forgot to schedule it. Oops. Here you go. It’s not like anything changed in the last week between Sunday and Monday. Everything is normal, move along.
Goal 1: Lose 30 pounds.
As of Tuesday, February 1st, my stuff hadn’t arrived yet. I started a staycation on Wednesday, so I don’t know if the package was delivered while I was out. It doesn’t matter anyway because I’m not supposed to work out during vacation. Sigh.
Goal 2: Learn something new.
Saturday night, I learned Sprint/Samsung GPS is not always accurate. It cannot be depended on for driving directions.
We got lost for thirty minutes in Redwood City while looking for the Target. Thankfully, we weren’t in a scary area and I could focus on being frustrated with the damn GPS.
On the school front, I’ve pretty much decided on Ashford University. You spend 5-6 weeks immersed in a class before moving on to the next one. I like learning this way plus I don’t have to wait for summer vacations. Maybe I can actually get my degree before I’m 30!
Goal 3: Blog at least once a week, with the end goal of daily posts.
Yeah, still going. I thought I may spend some of the staycation stocking up on blog posts but that really hasn’t happened yet.
Goal 4: Have an ongoing emergency fund of at least $1,000 by the end of the year.
All the money has been transferred. I’m still putting away $5 a day. The awesome thing is our tax refunds came! Hurray! We should have put a lot of it towards debt but we went to IKEA. Do you know it’s impossible to leave IKEA without spending less than $100? It’s like Target. Goodbye, money. We got furniture we needed for organization and the cats so… while I can kick myself for not paying off more of the credit cards, at least I didn’t blow the tax refund on a new Marc by Marc Jacobs bag. (If you’re curious, I’m currently eyeing this one.)
